Akshay Grover has finally been confirmed as Cellulant Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of Cellulant Group replacing the founder Ken Njoroge.
Grover has been acting as the Group CEO after Ken Njoroge voluntary resigned from his position as the founder in April 2021.
In a statement that was shared by the Cellulant Board’s chairman Sam Kiruthi, he said that Grover brings in a wealth of experience from the diverse industries from technology and finance.
“During the time that Akshay has served as Acting CEO, the board has been impressed with his commitment to openness, attention to detail, and an unrelenting focus on the future of the business,” he said
He also said that Akshay demonstrated he possesses the skills, attitude, and vision to lead the management team to deliver on Cellulant’s future and mission.
Akshay said that he is looking forward to growing Cellulant into the most prolific and most innovative payments platform in Africa.

Akshay before joining Cellulantas the Group Finance in January 2021 was the Chief Investment Officer at iSON a diversified technology group with a presence in 30+ countries in the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific region.
