‘Curfew To Be Lifted Soon’ President Uhuru To Kenyans

President Uhuru while addressing a crowd on Monday 18th October 2021 In Karatina Nyeri County hinted that he might lift the dusk to dawn curfew if we Kenyans continue to observe all the  Covid-19 rules.


President was speaking while he was on his way to Kirinyaga where this year Mashuja Day celebrations will be held.

The Head of state was responding to adamant youths who asked him what he was thinking about the daily dusk to dawn curfew that was placed almost in 2020.

“In the days to come, we will look at it, I’m working, and very soon, you will hear it, I do not want to speak too early but very soon,” The President said.

He however encouraged Kenyans to follow all the protocols and regulations that were put in place by the Ministry of Health, to ensure that they’re safe from the deadly disease that shook the world.

” You need to also protect yourself from the disease, so that when we re-open there are no more deaths, and you will be free to live as you want,” he said

“I’m also happy to say that I’m very contented, you know why? Because, these days, you go home early and you are now multiplying, or who do you think will vote tomorrow if you don’t multiply?” he added.

In an announcement that was made by the Cabinet Secretary Of Health, where he said that the 30 days curfew was extended on account of the high COVID-19 positivity rate.
