Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary-General, Edwin Sifuna, has asked 2022 presidential hopeful Raila Odinga to lower the cost of alcohol once he gets into office.
Addressing the high cost of living during a rally at Kamukunji grounds on Wednesday, October 13, Sifuna noted that Nairobians were concerned about the high prices of maize flour.
According to the lawyer, the high prices of commodities had been occasioned by the curfew restrictions.
oung people want the cost of flour to be reduced to Ksh50… Baba young people have said because life is short they want to have a good time but the curfew has restricted them very much and they want it to be removed, Sifuna said.
He further vouched for the reduction of the price of alcohol noting that the high prices had put safe and quality drinks out of reach of many Kenyans condemning them to illicit brews.
Baba, young people have said because life is short that want to have a good time but curfew has restricted them very much and they want it removed. They have also told me to ask you to lower the prices of alcohol.
The leaders were scaling through Nairobi streets to mobilize Kenyans to registers as voters in the month-long IEBC exercise.
