President of African Comedy Eric Omondi has challenged Kenyan artists to invesnt new ways of promoting their content.
The BigTyme Entertainment CEO made reference to the ongoing beef between Bongo stars Harmonize and Rayvanny saying that it showed their diversity.
“What Harmonize and Rayvanny are doing is showbiz. Kenyan artistes should wake up. These two are using a created beef to promote their new songs yet our artistes here are sleeping and boring. Yaani everyone is talking about Tanzanian artistes. They are earning billions from those kinds of beef,” he said.
While taking a dig at Kenyan artists, Eric said,
“Stop being boring, entertainment is not all about singing. We know Rayvanny and Harmonize can sing but they are now being diverse. They are adding flavour to their songs. That is where Kenyan entertainment is failing.”
Eric accused Kenyan artists of being too predictable.
“You recently saw Ringtone pretending he has been arrested. That is old fashion. They should be creative.”
Rayvanny and Harmonize have recent days been involved in back and forth banter against each other with the former hitting at the latter for sending his nudes to his ex- girlfriend Frida Kajala’s daughter.
Taking to his Instagram page, Vanny Boy expressed his surprise that the Konde Gang boss would seduce the little Paula Kajala just a few days after exposed him (Rayvanny) for trying to do the same.
The WCB’s signee went ahead to leak the private chats between Harmonize and the young girl.
However according to Eric, the two artists are just creating a beef and don’t really have bad blood with each other.
“Both have released a song and they are already trending. Kudos to the Tanzanian entertainment scene.”
