The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua, has called upon the Ministry of Education to make scouting mandatory in schools to tame the growing cases of indiscipline among learners.
Speaking during the 164th anniversary of scouting movement founder Robert Baden- Powell, Mutua argued that scouting had the potential of tackling challenges that the youth face.
” We need to have a structured way of bringing back discipline among our youth. Can we also make it compulsory that our youth, before they join the university, the go to the NYS,’ he said.
Mutua further revealed that the idea was not to bring about dictatorship but rather to address the moral decay.
