Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has admitted that he is equally tired of the current way of life since Covid- 19 happened.
Speaking during an interview with a local station, Kagwe acknowledged that Kenyans were fed up with the strict measures especially the curfew orders that have restricted movements to 10 pm in the night.
He further noted that the government would soon recall some of those orders once they are satisfied that there is a consistent reduction in positivity rates.
I am tired too and I am a Kenyan and I want to get back to normal life but it will take a while to get back to what we call normal life because even after opening the economy, things like wearing of masks and social distancing will remain. However, it is our intention as a government that as soon as we have consistently stayed the positivity rate that we are in now, we will be able to make significant changes Kagwe said
Kagwe further commended officials involved in fighting Covid for making tremendous strides in ensuring that the fatality rates dropped.
