The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Monday revealed that over thee million Kenyans support the Building Bridges Initiative.
The poll agency verified 3,188,001 signatures in support of the referendum document with only one Kenyan rejecting it.
The commission on December 10, 2020 received signatures for verification from the BBI promoters and concluded the exercise with a report yesterday.

The report adds momentum to the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2020 that has already been approved in 12 county assemblies.
As by Monday evening, the counties that had approved the bill included Siaya, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Busia, West Pokot, Trans Nzioa, Kisii, Laikipia, Nairobi, Vihiga, Kajiado and Samburu.
