Supporting young talents is something very important especially the talents from the ghetto.
If the Kenyan government can implement these initiatives then it would play a crucial role in supporting the untapped talent in the slum areas.
Young gifted and ambitious people no wonder sometimes loses hope and with no time their passion fades because there is no one to support them.
However, Terry Gaudencia who is also a model says she has been turned down several times when she tried to venture into the modelling industry. But she never gave up on her career.
After being rejected on different occasions, She decided to open her own foundation (Inua Dada Foundation) to support her own and the other talented boys and girls who cannot afford to support themselves in the slum areas.|
Speaking during the launch of Inua Dada Foundation as the founder and coordinator, the model said that being turned down several times after attending many auditions didn’t take her to quit.
“I really love modelling because it is something that flows in my bloodstreams and that is why even after being turned down several times at the auditions, still I never gave up but kept on pushing until I won Miss Ghetto”, the mother of one said.
She is looking forward to working with other young different talents around in the informal settlements in Nairobi as a way to also impact the community.
Inua Dada Foundation is her project for young girls who are gifted with amazing talents but do not have a platform despite being talented. The program will support them to showcase such talents. Therefore, she is coming in to support the girls by partnering with other well-wishers who are willing to support the initiative.
At the launch, she advised the young people to always stick to their dreams and goals respectively. That they should not rush to do things because good stuff does take time and come at the right time.
” My advice to young girls out there is that they should be patient and work hard towards their goals. And that is why we are coming up with Inua Dada Foundation to empower young girls in the community”, the 26 -year – old said.
