The anxiety is fast growing among the jubilee members after the abrupt postponement of the much-awaited national delegates convention NDC schedule at the end of this month.

Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni who is among the organizers of the NDC has acknowledged the presence of such anxiety among its members but asked them to hold on a little bit, saying a clear direction will be given very soon.

”The postponement of the meeting, of course, increases that anxiety. Those who want to run through the Jubilee Party also become anxious about how to go about their campaigns. They expect that a clear direction is given by the party as soon as possible”. said Kioni.

”The National Delegates Convention cannot happen without him. We will be asking our members to bear with us and be patient. We know what to do, without a doubt, and we understand the kind of time we have and we also know where we want to go. We want to go there with clarity of mind and singleness of purpose”. said the legislator.

He added, ”Further to this, a responsible President will always put the issues of the state first and then the party. Issues affecting Kenyans come first before we go to the smaller groupings. As members of Jubilee and as the people who support the leadership of the country, it puts you off balance. It is even possible to have prepared for the NDC in the afternoon and the President gets an engagement in the morning”

Kioni further revealed other than replacing the vacant positions, the NDC is keen on dealing with other important issues bedeviling the party including branding and prepare adequately to form the next government.

But Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu had this to say about the postponement of the meeting

”There are guys who left Jubilee but can’t stay away from our business. They just can’t let go. They are the first to ‘break’ news about us! There’s a term for this condition in relationship psychology – where mtu ameshindwa na ku-move on 😂😂😂” Ngunjiri Wambugu
