Deputy president Dr. William Ruto has started his 2-day campaign trail and economic empowerment project in western Kenya.
The DP caravan made its first stop at khayega town in Shinyalu constituency kakamega county, where Ruto took his bottom-up economic model. Ruto said the Bottom-up is the only road map to ensure the economic transformation is realized in this country.
He also criticized the opposition leaders for ” moving from one hotel to another awaiting for endorsement from president Uhuru Kenyatta”. He said their agender will fail spectacularly.
”Hawa wanaume sasa wanazunguka zunguka kwa mahoteli wakingoja wapangwe na rais. mimi nawaambia waache kusumbua rais bure. wajipange wakuje washindane na mimi. eti lazima waungane ndio washinadane na mimi? mimi naambia hao wakikuja mmoja mmoja nitawaangusha asubuhi na mapema. said Ruto
In his 2- day tour of Western, Ruto is expected to tour six constituencies within Kakamega county, among them Shinyalu, Ikolomani, Malava and Navakholo etc.
On Sunday, the Dp will traverse Busia county in search of votes.
Ruto is accompanied with among the former national assembly majority leader Aden Duale, former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale, Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama and Kimilili MP Didimus Barasa.
