A controversial Malawian preacher Shepherd Bushiri, his mother in law Magdalena Zgambo and his daughter were blocked from leaving Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe Malawi for Kenya aboard a chartered plane.
It is reported that the family of the wealthy controversial preacher were heading to Kenya seek medical attention after a local doctor referred them to Kenya.
The department of immigration trough their spokesperson denied being involved in the act and throwing their finger at the Police Department.
“They had not reached our desk when they were stopped. So, for information please talk to police,” He said.
The preacher through his lawyers had initially sought asylum in Kenya.
Bushiri fled South Africa to Malawi last year after they were charged with fraud, theft and money laundering.
Through the African News Agency eNCA, It is reported that the preacher had conned several people with over R100 million (Ksh 100,000) investment scheme.
