‘No, Thank You’ George Natembeya Declines New Appointment At The Office Of The President

Immediate Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Wafula Natembeya has declined a position he had been offered in the office of the president


Shortly after announcing his resignation, Natembeya was recalled and Reassigned to the office of the president in Nairobi.

But in an interview with TV47 on Thursday Evening, Natembeya said he won’t take up the position as directed. The outspoken Officer revealed that he had enough leave days to exhaust while serving his notice period.

“I’ve resigned from the government and I’m not taking the new position at the President’s office. I have enough leave days to serve notice,” he said.

Natembeya stepped down to concentrate on his Trans-nzoia county Gubernatorial bid. he has since announced he will be seeking the mandate of the people to become the second governor of the county under the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K)

DAP-K is associated with Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and is led by Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi

Immediate Makueni County Commissioner Mohamed Ahmed Maalim was appointed as Natembeya’s replacement.
