Smartphone company OPPO on Monday officially launched its Reno 5 series into the Kenyan market.
OPPO introduced the Reno 5 series in mid- December last year had been preparing for the Kenyan launched thereafter.
The tech company launched its latest mid- ranger in Kenya through an online morning stream on YouTube featuring brand ambassadors Jalango, Avril Nyambura, Maureen Waititu, Pascal Tokodi and Kamene Goro.
Reno 5 builds on features in its sibling, Reno 4 that was launched a year ago.
It comes with a 6.43″ AMOLED display tagged with 90HZ refresh rate. It also features a pinch- hole cutout for its 44MP selfie camera.
The phones screen has a full HD+ display that comes with a resolution measure of 1080 by 2400 pixels together with 20:9(409 ppi) aspect ration.
To protect the screen, the phone is made with Corning Gorrila Glass 3.
OPPO Reno 5 runs on ColorOS 11.1 and Android 11 which is powered by Adreno 618 GPU and Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor.
On ColorOS 11.1 the phone features a rich IU customization alternatives which include improved enhanced, medium and gentle Dark Mode settings. Users can also adjust wallpapers and icons to dark mode.
On Android 11, the phone hallmarks Notification History, Power Button Menu, Nearby Share, Media Controls, New Emojis, Conversation and Bubbles, Temporary Permissions ability to schedule dark mode and pin apps on share menu.
There is also an improvement on OPPO Relax 2.0 that has added Sound Mix. The smrtphine making company also partnered with Google Lense and Flexdrop to enable Reno 5 userd translate text on screenshot while using the three finger screenshot feature.
