All is not rosy for long-serving speaker of the National assembly Justin Bedan Njoka Muturi who has been in office since the Jubilee party took over government in 2013 after secret details of his looming ouster from the speakership position leaked.
Controversial political blogger Dennis Itumbi, a close ally of deputy President William Ruto who has been unearthing some of the secret undertakings of the day’s government has been the first person to share the new developments.
According to Itumbi, Muturi’s replacement will be sourced from the defunct national super alliance and the orange democratic party. He also revealed that the plan to remove Muturi was birthed in the Statehouse and is spearheaded by its operatives.
” HNIB Alert: Prefecture and statehouse begin behind the scene plan to oust national assembly speaker Justin Muturi. ODM and former NASA ask to shop for speaker”. Itumbi disclosed.
If Itumbi’s disclosure is anything to go by, then Muturi is in for a rude shock given that the ruling Jubilee party and its allies can easily rally the needed two thirds of the members of Parliament to vote in favor of his removal just like they marshalled numbers when doing similar radical changes in the August house including the removal of Murkomen, Duale and Irungu Kang’ata from their respective parliamentary administrative offices.
Muturi’s alleged ouster comes just days after he was coronated at Mount Kenya kingpin and was believed to have received the blessings of the president.
His controversial coronation has since thrown the Mount Kenya region into a political cyclone in competition for the region’s supremacy.
