Former NASA Coalition Co-Principals are beefing. The crux of the furore is the 2022 race for State House with accusations and counter-accusations flying over who should endorse who
ODM leader Raila Odinga stated that he is not going to support former National Super Alliance (NASA) colleagues for the presidency
Raila accused the former NASA leaders of abandoning him at the hour of need during his swearing-in as the People’s President after the disputed 2017 repeat presidential elections.
“When we were going for the swearing-in, in Nairobi they refused. They switched off their phones and they were shivering due to fear. They now want me to give them the mantle by supporting them,” he said.
He added: “Can I give them the mantle? I won’t give them because they demonstrated their cowardice.”
Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka hit back by claiming he deliberately stayed away from Raila’s swearing-in in the interest of the country’s peace and to safeguard his future in politics.
ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi on his part termed Raila as a political con and alleged the handshake was a pre-arranged settlement before the repeat presidential polls in 2017.
Raila, had his last laugh when this morning, through a video tweet, he unmasked the folly of the two leaders
