Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has emerged the favorite to hold the presidential ticket for the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).

According to details shared by the OKA technical committee on the presidential nomination formula, Kalonzo beat his Amani National Coalition (ANC) counterpart Musalia Mudavadi in three simulations for the coveted ticket.

In the first simulation, the committee proposed Kalonzo as the presidential candidate with Musalia as his possible running mate.

In the second set, the committee paired Kalonzo as presidential flag-bearer, deputized by Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua.

Karua heads the Mount Kenya Unity forum which brings together a section of prominent politicians from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s backyard.

In the third simulation, the organ settled for Kalonzo and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula to vie for the August 9 General Elections.

Baringo Senator and KANU chairman Gideon Moi was not included in the three simulations despite having a huge financial share in the coalition.

According to a source within the committee, Moi fell short of a political base with his Rift Valley backyard considered to be under Deputy President William Ruto’s grip.

The technical committee comprises Nambale MP Sakwa Bunyasi, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja representing Mudavadi.

Kitui Senator Enock Wambua, Mutula Kilonzo Junior and Fafi MP Abdikarim Ousman who represent Kalonzo while Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa and Ford Kenya Organising Secrtary Mandu Mandu represent Wetangula.

Tiaty MP William Kamket on the other hand represents Moi

These revelations come as the OKA principles meet in  Elementaita, Nakuru, today to review the report by the technical committee.
