Uganda’s Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, has announced that is withdrawing a court case challenging presidential election results that saw incumbent Yoweri Museveni get a sixth term
Bobi cited bias by the Supreme Court justices judging the case.
“We have decided to withdraw from their court, the courts are not independent, it is clear these people (judges) are working for Mr. Museveni,” Bobi Wine told journalists
Wine, 39, had earlier rejected the results of the January election and said he believed victory was stolen from him where he asked the court to overturn the results on several grounds including the widespread use of violence.
Museveni, who has led the East African country since 1986, was declared the winner of the Jan. 14 election with 59% of the vote, while Wine was given 35%
