Kirinyaga Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici has warmed the hearts of ODM leader Raila Odinga’s supporters after she sent the opposition leader early birthday messages.

Odinga turns 77 years old tomorrow and Ngirici took to her Facebook page to wish her an early birthday.

Happy 77th Birthday Jakom she wrote

Her message left a section of netizens guessing as they contemplated that she was hoping to move to Odinga’s side after she recently quit Deputy President William Ruto’s camp.

We love you with all our organs. You are the incoming Governor of Kirinyaga.
You’re wise. Welcome to team winning
Si birthday ni Kesho? But the hurried wish makes it a big political statement especially after umetoka Sugoi🙂 The message is home.
Wangui Ngirici ever since you ditched UDA you have tremendously become so beautiful. It’s today that I learn uko na mwanya ya meno kama yangu. What a masterpiece by the supreme God! Wewe ndio Minji
Ngirici made an about-turn on her support for DP Ruto in late December last year, months after the entry of Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru to the UDA party.
She had intended to challenge Madam Waiguru for the Kirinyaga governorship position in this year’s General elections.
While announcing her departure from the party, the first time County MP said she was afraid of being rigged out adding that she is certain that the party primaries will not be free and fair.

She also claimed that UDA party officials tried to coerce her into vying for a parliamentary seat and leave the gubernatorial post for Waiguru who is seeking her second term.

She recently removed the UDA party symbols from a building she had donated to serve as the party’s county office.

The Kerugoya-based private office gate wall, which was previously branded with the UDA party’s yellow and green colors, logo, and slogan, has now been repainted in white color.
